We call this as Besan ka chilla in india. Besan means chickpea flour and chilla means pancake. You can use other lentil flours and riceflour combinations too for other tastes. Good for breakfast or evening teatime meals.❤

every time i do this recipe it gets stuck to my non stick pan no matter what i do any help?
@theveganbossa Жыл бұрын
Hello 👋 thank you for being here 🙂 This problem never happened to me before. As a solution I can recommend you try to brush your pan with a little bit of oil before cooking or try to cook it in medium heat. I hope I was helpful!
@gremliin_priince Жыл бұрын
@@theveganbossa hi thanks for taking your time to reply unfortunately i have also tried that and it just gets stuck anyway and stays very raw at the centre ive also tried it at a slightly higher temp with a lid so the middle would cook but it just ends up burning at the bottom and sticking while the center remains raw, have never seen it happen to anyone else it seems cant imagine what could be going on :(
@theveganbossa Жыл бұрын
@@gremliin_priince I always cook on low-medium temperatures, especially pan cakes or fritters that can be burned easily. Maybe it also depends on your cookware, I assume.... wish you a good day ahead 😊

Keep the batter thin enough to spread easily but not watery thin, and coat the pan with oil. Will prob have to use a bit more oil than normal.

Can you not add baking soda as well if you don’t use Yeast or apple cider vinegar
@vegan_guac Жыл бұрын
Vinegar is far better as it doesn't leave the taste of baking soda,while still giving the fluffiness. Nutritional yeast is for flavour, nobody forces you to use it if you don't like umani flavours

People (okay, myself) can be lazy. I'm looking at that list of ingredients, and it's intimidating. A real good non-vegan omelet is eggs, cheese and onions. The prep is minimal. So, yes, this vegan omelet looks good, but I don't have that kind of time or motivation.
@rozchristopherson64810 ай бұрын
I hope you get that motivation. I’m 63 and vegan for 8 years. I don’t want clogged arteries (arteriosclerosis) that result from eating eggs and other animal products. It’s amazing that people will say they are “lazy” when it comes to preparing vegan foods, but they will run to all kinds of doctors appointments, have all kinds of procedures, and take all kinds of medications without hesitation when clogged arteries catch up with them.
@theveganbossa10 ай бұрын
@rozchristopherson648 you described perfectly what I think too. ❤️

@@theveganbossa Thank you. I was a caregiver to my elderly parents and my grandmother for 17 years. They suffered from arteriosclerosis with strokes and congestive heart failure. Doctors told them arteriosclerosis was hereditary; never told them it was caused by their diet. But today, more information is available to us to know how our diet affects our health. I’m so glad to find healthy vegan recipes. Thank you for this video. ❤️

I literally just made an omelette with veggies and it tastes just like the real thing, this just feels wrong on so many levels.
@Nicky-ws9lz8 ай бұрын
I’ve just made this using your measurements, my batter was very thick so I added a little extra soy milk. Started to cook on low/ medium heat but was nowhere near cooked after 2 minutes, turned heat up and still took another few minutes. It was ok, too filling and stodgy and a bit disappointment, maybe things have moved on after 3 years and I will look for a better recipe, waste of chickpea flour to be honest and not cheap where I live.
