How did you add Track Matte in 6:15? I can only choose track matte from bottom layer (dot layer)

Hmm, maybe it's because he's using latest version, and I'm stuck at CS6 :D

I use the pickwhip track matte feature. It is a newer feature. Based off your other reply (using CS6) that's probably why you can't do that. However I think the "preserve underlying transparency" was a feature back then, which should work. Place main layer on top, dot layer below, enable preserve underlying transparency.

You could save the effect stacks as animation presets but there is no way to automate the duplicating the layers or changing their blend mode. So some yea, some no

Personal preference. I generally like animations without it more. I’ll often use echo to create a “smear”, which is a similar look but it’s more true to actual animation. Motion blur does have its place and I’ve used it a bunch on projects where it has made sense
