This is really important. people always complain about there not being enough new vr games and I would say that's due to it being pretty inaccessible. If you wanna make a 3d unity game there is tons of documentation and youtube tutorials but if you wanna make a vr game I feel like you have to be a pretty experienced developer. Stuff like this is making developing vr games a lot more accecessible.

Yeah that’s why I’m so excited about this, as much as you could make similar with unity’s XR Toolkit it’d take years to get to a level of polish that’d be acceptable to release so having things like that are free, open-source and have an active community like UXR are gonna be such a big thing in VR I think!

Are you able to do this with out linking the pc to the headset? I have a headset and a computer but my computer almost 99% sure cannot handle getting linked to my oculus. So is there a way I could do this without a headset, I could probably try to get someone to test the game. And then I’d release it in the quest store. If there’s a way I could upload it so it’s private and only certain people could access it, that would be awesome, cuz then I could still test it

How much Optimized is Ultimate XR for Standalone headsets?

The demo works perfectly on standalone and is quite lightweight especially considering it doesn’t use any physics, should be fine for standalone! 🙂

is there a smooth locomotion option? using HurricaneVR with hexabody atm but trying this also. Hate the teleporting movement though

I believe there is but it is changing soon. I believe you need to find the teleport locomotion script on the avatar and replace it with the smooth locomotion one, I’ll try and have this in the third episode which I’m recording tonight but as soon as I know exactly how to do it I’ll reply to this comment again 😁

@@RiggedVirtualReality Was trying UXR today, nice to have arms in VR . Went to discord and done some reading. Pretty nice framework. Unity is killing it in VR. Was using UE4 until UE5. Epic does not seem too interested in VR atm.

@@sqwert654 yeah the IK in UltimateXR is awesome! it is a shame about unreal though, I think UE is much more beginner friendly but I’m glad that the community and unity are pushing for better!

Web guy isn't completed but it isn't a project I'm working on right now, I might return to it at some point but it wont be very soon :)
