Ah, that old favourite "Christmas wire"! I spotted something similar in The Land of Pounds back in March - they were calling it "Easter wire"; and in the next couple of months, expect to see it on the shelves as "Hallowe'en wire" and then "Bonfire wire". My favourite, though, is just AFTER Christmas, when it magically transforms into "Valentine's Day wire" - the most magical (and wiry) of all the holidays.

Idea: A collaboration with the patrons. Lets say 5 of them. Each makes a part of a combining voltron-like robot, and then Bill combines them together and makes the final piece (the head or maybe body). Could be more than 5 since you could have a multi-legged robot.

Hey, great build Bill you did a great job. If you are able to, please try out dark gray matt background and white light for the final results shot, it would make the colors more visible on the screen and also easier to take out the details. My eyes are especially bad at seeing shades in colored or tinted light but i think it would overally improve the final shot quality.

Hey Bill just a quick tool tip for everyone, for the next few weeks keep an eye open at your local pound/dollar shop as they tend to sell little fx make - up sets that contain little bottles of liquid latex which makes the perfect liquid masking fluid for your paint jobs, just paint it on where required over a base colour (eg doing a chipped or rusted out section) let it dry or use a hair dryer to speed it up then paint on your next or top paint layer let that dry then simply peel the latex off Et Voilà jobs a goodun.

Really cool Orky tower Bill, very rickety, very rusty, so very you!! I love the colors, even if you did drown them in oil wash and pigment powders. 😁 I would like for you to build more terrain, maybe not exactly like this, but something very similar to this. While I love your terrain, I also love your bead bots and creatures as well...what we really need more of is vehicles. You did a bunch when you started the channel, but haven't seen many since. 😞 Great stuff, thanks for sharing, stay safe and keep on keeping on!! (P.S. - Did you used to teach house construction? I have a couple in my neighborhood that look just as well constructed and thought out as this tower thingy.)

Excellent result, Bill-- authentic to the look. Those textured plates are just magical in bringing the look together. I call foul on your second face test, though: a second after your face appeared, an ad for Takis came on. I see what you're up to, associating your face with positive junk food stimuli!
