I love finding new ways to use craft supplies, don't you? A lot of us have Infusible Ink pens and markers, and they're fun, but I wondered if we could use them in slightly different ways? I've seen some beautiful watercolor ink mug designs, but sometimes I want an easier method than brushes and water. After some experimentation, I found that you can use watercolor paper to add texture to your transfer using the Cricut Mug Press! Even better, the Cricut will draw my free designs for you, so they're like a coloring book you can fill in by hand! They're perfect for a morning coffee or as a gift using my Cricut Mug Boxes!

I've used coloring pages and outlined the shapes, then colored them in. Transferring the photo to a polyester towel. It works so well!!

This is a game changer for me. I've wanting to dabble in sublimation but the expense of ink, printer, and large heat press was a deterrent. I fusible ink pens are more cost friendly🙂

I don't need any more mugs, but I'd like to try this on a ceramic plate. What would you use to apply the necessary heat to a flat surface? Do I need a Cricut heat press? (Not in the budget currently.)

When you are blending the light and dark colors, does the darker color remain on the lighter color marker?

It does get on the lighter marker. You will need to scribble on some paper to get it out.

Thanks for your videos Jennifer! Quick question: is there a "shelf life" of stored Cricut Brand Permanent Premium Vinyl? Someone said 6 months, but we have a lot of vinyl we just purchased to use in the next year or so. We wondered if you had any thoughts or suggestions to help us to keep our vinyl in good condition (on the roll) for when we want to use it later. NOTE: The Cricut Permanent Vinyl actually has a date of 2020 on the package we just purchased from Hobby Lobby - so we assume the shelf-life should be pretty long. Thanks so much again for your great videos!

I have used vinyl from 2020 without any problems. Basically store it in a cool dry place with low humidity.

I didn't understand if you normally color with sublimation markers or wet the tip of the marker or the paper!! Or if it's just the watercolor paper that has that effect when you color with Infusible Inks

Hello. I could not find the template for the mug wrap that matches the one on the bottom tier on the left. I found the flowers only template on the top tier and the one you made in the video.
