I think this would make a good project kit👍
@SailriteDIY2 жыл бұрын
We did talk about that, but you can do so many things to make it personal, so we decided not to make it a kit. We may change our mind if we get a lot of requests.

I was hoping for a kit also...great project Sailrite!

I've now made three of these, using waxed canvas and leather. The instructions you presented are terrific and the aprons came out really nicely. All the work was done on my LSZ-1 Premium, with WorkerB motor. Thank you!

Forgot to mention... your time stamps are wrong. Particularly the first one. Cutting fabric to size is NOT 22 minutes into the video! :)

Excellent video - great tips and helps! I learned a lot watching this. I'd still pay Sailrite $10-20 for a PDF or paper version, it is a pain to keep stopping and backing up the video...

Great job, after a while you will feel pain and pressure in the neck, I recommend X holders behind the back.

I'm going to do just that. I agree with you.

Great idea to hold a thick corner with needle nose pliers until the sewing foot is to the corner!

I like that suction handle. Is that something you carry in your store?

I've been thinking about making one of these out of leather, but think that the hems would be a little problematic. Would you think that leather binding would be a better option for that material? I'd probably only add it to chafe points like the tops of the pockets, neck and sides.
@SailriteDIY2 жыл бұрын
In most cases leather does not need to be hemmed, the raw edges can be burnish to give a finished look.
@biomechanique68742 жыл бұрын
Hemming is for woven fabrics to prevent fraying. Use a binding for aesthetic effect on leather or similar.
