We bought this transformer from the manufacturer. Unfortunately I don't have any of the specs on it because the manufacturer doesn't give that information out to anyone.

I have a three-wire electric fence with an 0.4 max output in joule energizer for a 25'x25' fence used for camping. I'm adding three more poly wires to it. Should I have you boost the energizer to adequately provide protection from bears?

just curious... I am looking for an energizer to run two hot wires for a 45 x 50' garden. I don't want to spend a ton of money on this, but want to keep deer and racoons out (will do 3D fence for the deer with the hot wire being the outmost fence and a lower hardware cloth fence for rabbits and coons with a hot wire where the racoons will try to climb). But, from what I'm seeing, in order to get a strong enough shock to deter these critters, I need an energizer for a much larger area then what I'm looking for. I was wondering if something like the Patriot PE2 energizer could be adapted to provide a strong shock to a smaller area? Is that possible?

That's a pretty low joule unit at 0.1 joule. Patriot units aren't repairable units are well, so if you want something semi inexpensive but possibly repairable vs throwaway, look at a Power wizard PW1000, it's got a full 1 joule output

i'm pretty sure they're zareba replacement boards board: MODEL 2921447001PR other thing:2921480001PR transformer: no idea capacitor 20 microfarad 900v

The board was an old school reliable zareba board they no longer make, but I have a stack of them here I use and they can typically be rebuilt as long as the board doesn't get destroyed. The capacitor isn't from any brand of electric fence charger, and the transformer is my little secret

That first and second part number you used, neither are used in this unit at all. Those are parts used in the 100-200 mile zareba types, and not even the same set up

You're not even putting the original board in that unit you're upgrading it.. are you telling me the board is too much of an upgrade and I need to find a 50 mile zareba replacement board or some shit? they don't make them. This is the only zareba replacement board available. You have old stock you bought before coronavirus doubled the price of everything. Give me a good deal on a kit. cuz i'm about to id every component on that board and solder my own up with a proto board

@@schlomoshekelstein908 The boards you listed are only used in the 100 mile unit and there's also a 3rd board you didn't list. The boards you listed don't even go on the same size case set up as the unit in the video, they won't work at all. The board I used hasn't been offered by zareba in 10+ years and I bought out a store of their parts because they were selling everything off and retiring. I don't sell these parts as a kit, I use them on the repairs I do here for customers. Zareba's newer/current boards used in their 25-75 mile units are junk and don't last, that's why I don't buy them. I install good quality parts so the unit will last longer, excluding lightning. I do this repair business full time for customers all over the United States of and a few in Canada and Europe. This isn't a part time have fun on the side gig that I do.
