As a filmmaker, having a good and professional looking website is essential. Without a website, clients are unlikely to hire you. It doesn't matter how good your work is, how beautifully curated your instagram page looks, or how excellent your references are - Without a professional website, you are a step behind. This video aims to help that!
But it's not just filmmakers. This video is for people of all sorts. It covers how to make a website for photographers, how to make a website for production companies, and even how to make a website for graphic designers. Any type of creative business could follow these guidelines.
How to make a professional website with the Wix Editor. Wix is a website building tool that aims to help the average person build a professional looking website - I have very little coding experience, and only a fringe interest in graphic design (But certainly no qualifications!). I found it very easy to go from template to finalized website.

As someone who has used Wix before, I highly recommend it. I find usually sponsors are desperate for people to use their product; and I've stereotypes most sponsors as "bad", but I HIGHLY recommend Wix. Really good, easy to use, and nice and clean layouts :)

When you talk about putting webpages on a diet, do try and make sure the pictures get similar treatment. If you're only making use of 900px width on pictures, at most the resolution of them needs to be 900px wide. Cuts down on megabytes of data flowing for your page to load. I know when using a webpage builder, there's likely going to be scripts and things that will make the page take longer to load anyway, but you'd be surprised how many people still don't have good internet, or think "good" internet is 10Mbps down. Edit: more along the lines of the thumbs, like what thumbnails used to be for, but you know what I mean probably

Half the battle is having the content in the first place which you don't have a problem with! It looks rad - Next step is optimising for search! Technical SEO for the site to be optimised performance wise for Google (page speed etc), then keyword wise so you rank in the results of what potential clients are searching for :)
