For anyone who may be watching now - heart is NOT organ meat! It's muscle meat and very high in protein and taurine, which is awesome - but it doesn't count as organ meat in a dietary context. For a balanced raw diet, you need 5% liver and 5% other secreting organ. Pancreas, kidney, or reproductive organs are popular choices.

Using Spinach for Iron is dumb... since Dill has like 20x the amount or more if I recall correctly. But it is good fiber. Also Peppers, lots of Iron in those things.

iron from veggies is absorbed differently in dogs than iron from a meat source.. you main iron source should come from meat sources.

May I answer that question? I hope you said yes, so... you have a five month old great Dane and should have been feeding raw as soon as he was weaned. There are companies that can balance the food for a puppy. My boerboel has been on raw since he was seven weeks old. He is currently 1.5 years, gets one meal a day, and weighs 165lbs. Boerboels have mastiff in their history as Danes do as well.

Bro. Just a suggestion. I feel you are adding way too many veggies and meat. Secondly, instead of making so much together, why not make fresh everyday with say 3-4 veggies and 1 type of meat. I generally do that..and give along with rice. What I also do is keep her on both fresh food and dog food in moderation so nutrition compensation happens. Hope this helps. Love to you doggooo
