This how to make a wine slushie the easy way:
Recipe: Fill a blender with ice (56 oz blender), add dry mix package and add a 750 ml bottle of dry white wine to all flavors. Berry and Sangria can be done with white or red. Dublin mudslide is done with Bailey's and milk (or lactaid milk for those who are lactose intolerant) or use just vodka for a chocotini.

I'm sorry that doesn't look like a slushy that you get from a machine. That just looks like every frozen drink you make in a blender. I'm trying to find how to get slushy consistency like you get from a slushy machine

Hi Beth, thanks for your comment. I'll admit that in the dozen years I've been doing this and traveling up and down the east coast from Bangor, Maine to Richmond, Virginia at art & craft shows and flower shows selling tens of thousands of wine slushie mixes and giving out just as many samples, it's the first time I've heard a comment like this. I am a little confused by your comment as well. I think the reason it "just looks like every frozen drink you make in a blender" is because it was made in a blender. If you want slushie machine consistency, you have to buy a slushie machine. If you want to spend $2,000 on a single-barrel machine or $3,000 on a double-barrel machine and put it in your cabana, then hats off to ya. I predict you'd be the hit of the neighborhood! I've tried slushies made in a blender and in a machine and although slushies made in a machine do have a better consistency, making it in a blender is not that far off. It's close enough. If you figure out how to get slushie machine consistency without a slushie machine, let me know. The only suggestion I could make is to get a better blender. I use a Kitchen Aid Diamond blender for about $120. You could get a Vita-Mixer for about $500, but I'm not sure that would still get you what you are looking for. Hope that helps. Cheers, Dan
