In order to get dead soft or half hard wire do I need to go to a specialty shop? Wire I buy at Hobby Lobby does not have that designation?

I use 20 guage starling silver wire. It is super bendable. But it is hard to work with and your finger gets tiring so you have to take your time with it

I use copper wire because it’s cheaper than silver wire, I order from Rio Grande by the pound. Then I patina the copper when finished

@@floralfight yes, with hand. But since it is ticket wire you have to apply force to get it to the shape you want so you have to practice a lot to build up your hand muscle

Where did you get the ring mandrel with the groove all the way down. I cant seem to find one.

You can get one at Hobby Lobby craft store I got mine there metal one no Grove plastic one with the Grove on it

Hi from uk- I coated my pliers in something called plasti- dip- it was about £15 from amazon. You just dip and lift your pliers out and let them dry :)
