always cut off the ends of the wires so that the tip is on the outside and not inside the ring, because even if you crush it so that it does not scratch, it will loosen slightly after some time and start scratching

Another beautiful ring to add to my collection. I really enjoy your tutorials. Very clear and simple to follow. I have a file on my computer where I keep links for tutorials I use, categorized by Rings, Earrings, Bracelets, Pendants, Wire Wrapped Cabochons, Briolettes, and Beads. When I'm ready for my next project I choose stones, then look for whatever item I want to use them in. (Yes, OCD!)

I love this style. I've been stuck on making wire wrapped rings the same old way but haven't made a bezel ring before. I'm anxious to make one. Also, kind of off the subject, what is the purpose of a half drilled stone?

Can't wait to see what you come up with! A half-drilled stone can be used for a lot of things. Lots of people use them to create stud earrings so you don't see any metal on the front of the stone. Good luck!

Hi! So does anyone know how to do a flawless wrapping with the 26 gauge wire when trying to attach the crystal stone? I am trying to get mine to stay tight, and it seems to loosen as I wear. It also does poke out... having a bit of trouble there.

Yes, as long as your bead has holes in it that you can feed wire through to secure it. It won't sit in the setting the same as a flat bead, but it will work!

If you're using a "stone" that doesn't have a hole in it like a bead, then what do you do? Do you glue it in the ring?

I got into this wire stuff, to try to make some extra money I'm on Social Security and my money is really tight. I watch you all the time and every day you have a different must have expensive tool. But at least most time you will say you can use this instead. But the last few videos you have not done that, and that makes it extremely difficult to try to learn this stuff.

Hi Annette! Since you're making jewelry and a beginner, you don't need anything heavy duty. Just go with a light duty clamp on vise. You can pick a relatively inexpensive one up at your local hardware store. Good Luck!

I'd like to know that too. I suppose, if the ring is too large, you could wire wrap all the way around the perimeter of the band. That should make it snugger.

I have a question. How do you make the bezel for a stone that's square or diamond shaped? I have sleeping beauty turquoise puffed diamond shaped beads, the holes are at the corners, that I would love to use there a way to do it with those stones?

Sure! You may have to have the help of some chain nose pliers to help with the wrapping. Just be sure to check to make sure it will fit through your bead!

I have some stones that don't have holes drilled in them. Do you have any videos on turning stones undrilled into rings? For this video, could someone put a dot of glue like E6000 or even industrial superglue and glue the stone?

Hey Nikki! Yes, you can definitely use strong glue to place a cabochon in a setting. You can also create a wire-wrapped ring with a cabochon. We don't have a video covering wire-wrapped rings at the moment but we will keep it in mind for the future!

Hi Diane! These are coin shaped, drilled, faceted 6mm beads. The one Susan is using is a labradorite bead. You can use any color you want. Faceted or non-faceted. I make these and I find it so difficult to use pliers! They ruin the coating and reveal the brass copper wire. Does this happen to you or are my wires cheap?

I scratch the metal too no matter which kind I use. I have seen people put tape around each nose of the pliers. Looks like it works. =)
