How to make a wired sugar Rose with leaves and calyx

Hello everyone,
this week I will show you how to make, wire and color a rose, it's calyx and leaves.
Here is the list of tools you’ll need:
Styrofoam Rose Bud (optional)
Small rack to hang rose upside-down
Cupped former (or egg carton) to dry petals
Flower paste in desired color
CelBoard grooved board
Foam Pad
90mm Rose petal cutter (or desired size)
Leaf cutter with veiner
Calyx cutter
24”and 26” green covered wire
Wire cutter
Needle-nosed pliers
Floral tape in green
Metal ball tool
small non-stick rolling pin
edible glue or eggwhites and brush
cornstarch (cornflour)
Vegetable shortening
knife
Brush for dusting
Petal dust in desired color

Did you use foundant only or gum paste only for rose and leaves

Gum paste. But you can use both. If you add enough CMC to your fondant (sugar paste) it turns into gum paste.
