In today's video I want to show you something unusual. It's wooden bicycle that is exact replica of regular one, except it is made from wood. We used aluminium rings for chain to amke it more durable. As a result we get amazing wooden bike that you can ride on!

Same way all bikes braked for the first 100+ years of cycling history up until around the 1950's. You stop pedaling and add resistance with your legs. There is no freewheel to ratchet and allow the wheels to spin with the chain stationary. This is also how true fixed gear bikes work, and how all velodrome (track) race bikes work. It's easier than you might think but it takes some getting used to it at first ;) -Jake
