Very nice work! I have never seen an axe used to shave & profile a wooden plane, your confident & and skilled at that, definitely not something i will ever try as i value my fingers & thumbs too much. I have used different oils on wood over the years, Raw linseed/Boiled, Tung oil & Danish oil, think Tung oil is my favourite though. I was very close to purchasing your Ebony Infill plane the other day but had to restrain myself, sorry😓. I am pretty sure i have it in me to make a dovetailed smoothing plane of that style, just not quite aligned my brain on doing it as yet…. Thank you for watching Stephen, I wanted to show how it is possible to do precision work with an axe also. That is understandable about the Infill plane. As the saying goes: You only cry once 😁 If you decide to give it a go I'd love to see! All the best from the cold north :)
