For anyone wondering, the accelerator for the super glue can be found in most hobby shops. It is commonly used in building models of all kinds. It's not very expensive and really helps keep projects moving ahead by not having to wait for the glue to set. Edit: I just noticed MD posted a link to the glue and accelerator in the main video info.

What a beautiful nature aquarium! I wish we had such a great quality plants available for purchase in the US. In my area, all I managed to get is a tiny bunch with just a couple of leaves, sometimes already half dead, and super pricey. Even the tissue culture cups have only a few sad plants in them despite being so expensive! Often times, shortly after planting them in the tank they mostly melt or die, or struggle for a long time before they recover. That causes ammonia spikes and algae blooms that make the start of a new nature aquarium so much more difficult than in your case.

Wonderful info!!! My 30 gallon TALL tank measures 27” (68cm) high. Is it too tall for live plants due to lower plants possibly not getting enough light? A little more challenging to make changes perhaps but I’d like to try this with what I already have.

Different plants need different levels of light. You can buy some low light plants and combine them with Sword plants they stretch tall towards the light.

Pull the last molly from the swordtail tank.... you need more floating plants for dopey bebe mollys. They don't hide as well as swordta8ls do. Buy a high fin or lyretail molly sometimes they have better breeding lines. Also try hornwort it was great at saving babies because its spikey

I've had mollys eat their babies, so I'd say that's where they've gone. There'll usually be a couple of survivors though. In a tank as large as that there should be plenty of space to hide. Lovely set up.

I've had a 20 gallon high tank for coming up on 3 years. 6 corys (2 species), 4 tetras, 2 shrimp, and assassin snails. Gravel base with 3 plants. Been horribly neglected for the last year. Working on getting it to a beauitful tank I enjoy. Is there any hope of being able to get the landscape as beautiful as this with the fish still in it. It would be more trouble than it's worth to empty this tank and start over from scratch because of its location.

I really like your channel and your aquascapes. I am very interested in the follow up for this low tech tank. Most KZbin channels only show how to do aquascaping, but you never get to see how they actually maintain their tanks long term, or how they deal with problems like algae or plant melting or stunt growth down the road. The main reason ppl quit the aquarium hobby in my opinion is not because they are lazy and don't want to do water changes and maintenance, but because they set up their tanks following the instructions of KZbin aquascapers, then they are not told how to deal with the problems. Anybody can throw a bunch of wood and rocks and plants in a tank and then fill it with water and make it look amazing. But how you deal with the aftermath is a whole different matter. Ppl expect to follow the instructions and then enjoy beautiful nature aquariums, instead they start seeing all their plants melting and being covered in algae, sometimes the fish dies and everything ends up looking like a bog, no matter how hard they try. That's why they quit. Please, show us what happens next. After setting up the tank. And how you deal with the problems most aquascapers never really show to their viewers. I'll be very interested. Thank you!

Haven't ever done a water change, even at the beginning. Oldest tank is almost two years. No chemicals added, full of plants, fish spawning and fry growing up with no input from me.
