I made my first mini zine today, but I want to make a few more to stick in the pockets of a grimoire I'm working on. I like the idea of having a blank one for some journaling later! Also, some days I don't have the time for a huge art project, but I want to make a little progress on my grimoire and do something creative. A mini zine is the perfect solution. Thanks for all the great tips!

Thank you for this video - I really enjoyed it! Can you give me an idea how you price these in your studio - you mentioned you wanted to have some for people to purchase during the tour. Can you give me an idea of how you price these for sale? I appreciated the time you took making the video, it is very helpful. Sincerely - Lynn

Hi Lynn! I am SO sorry for the late response. Your comment got lost in the mix and I'm just seeing it now. Are you still interested in pricing? Do you mean of original zines or the printed ones? Let me know and I'll fill you in!

Hi, Do you worry about the margins on your zines when you print copies? I do not know if I can change the margins on my printer to print to the edge. I took my zine to Office Depot to print and there were margins on it too. Thanx
@katiegebely Жыл бұрын
Margins can be tricky for sure. I usually try to keep that in mind when making my zines (if I know I'm going to make copies). So even if the margins are there, it won't affect the integrity of what I created. Also, when working with a professional printer, I always make sure they help me with that part. Hope that helps!
@marriannadougherty7408 Жыл бұрын
Since you used a 14 x 20 watercolor paper/substrate for this zine, did you copy it to 8.5 x 11? I’m wondering about the ratio/resizing from one size to another. So I wouldn’t lose any elements in the printing process. This is great and an excellent way to start a zine. It’s been my biggest stumbling block to even starting zines.
@katiegebely Жыл бұрын
Hey Marrianna! For this I went to a printer who was able to make copies with larger paper. Hoping one day I can invest in a large format printer! 🤞Hopefully you'll get inspiration to give it a try! I'd love to do some live videos where we can work through it together!
