Love how slow and calming this was. I’m not a naturally crafty person and I get nervous I’ll mess things up, but this was so easy to follow and made me feel very capable!

Zine's also have many decades of historical roots in US Black arts-cultural, political and civil rights groups, movements/era as well as the literary arts - especially poetry.

Charming. If you plan to sell them though, making copies before stitching is a good reminder. Love your zine. Powerful. Thanks for sharing.

what a cute zine, never new of them and just watching you create is very relaxing. Wonderful to learn a easy stitch. You put a lot into your wonderful bookbinding tutorials and I appreciate learning new styles. Thank you for sharing your art and making beautiful tutorials.🦋🦋🤗🤗🌹🌹

Really inspiring.. thank you for sharing, this was simple and beautiful-you’ve made an impact on a lot of people. I was intimidated by bookbinding but this was very easy and straightforward-thank you for helping me feel a bit more confident than I was a few moments ago, in more ways than one. :) ❤

This is the best thing I saw online today. Thank you. I love your intro on Zine culture, it’s exactly why I am getting into it. Like an antidote to my phone and being dictated to by algorithms.

Thanks so much! I didn't have staples, and I didn't like the other methods that I saw. I'm glad I had all the supplies for this! Good luck to all my fellow zine makers!

Thanks for this wonderful video! Such a sweet zine, your tears have manifested as joy for me (in terms of learning binding techniques! 😅). Quick question, what is the maximum number of pages you’ve bound using this method? Keep up the good work! 😸🙏🙏 📖
@bittermelonbindery Жыл бұрын
🫶🏼☺️ for the pages, it depends on the weight of the paper! I find 10 sheets of 60 to 80 lb text weight (90-120 gsm) to be a good number, you can experiment with more or less.

Helpful crying tip- the initial rush of hormones that starts a need to cry only lasts 90 seconds unless we try to stop it. So take that 90 seconds and feel and cry as hard as you need to. Be cognizant and mindful of whatever you experienced. When that 90 seconds is up you can do square breathing and 54321 sense grounding to recover. Then you will be in the right headspace to address whatever you need to do!
