Thanks man! I always used to throw it wide, but now I can throw more accurately because of you! I already did get the shuffle shuffle part, but I never follow through. Now I know that if I do follow through, I'll get the ball there. Thanks!

Dude I love hearing this! It was a game changer for me also. I loved when I heard a coach explain it as "WE'RE NOT PITCHERS OUT HERE! STOP THROWING THE BALL LIKE A PITCHER!!!" Then it clicked for me. Good luck out there!

People asking what if you have a fast runner... Obviously you have to get the ball out. The point is you need to follow your body through the throw is what I got more than anything from the video

Before I saw your video I was thinking about exactly what you’re talking about- it makes sense to use your body to gain more momentum. “ Shuffle shuffle and then they throw a pitch” lol Just used it in a game today and it worked like a charm!! thank you

If you have a fast runner u need to do one shuffle , doing too many shuffles can mess your shot up, just be calm and relax and confident in your throw and you will have a nice hard throw to 1st

If you're a right-hander playing third and get taken deep to the backhand side (even deep to the pocket on the glove side), would you recommend perfecting the one-hop throw to first? In my playing days -- 1976-1995 -- I don't remember seeing this as a common tactic (quite embarrassing), but I've noticed this more and more seeming to be a deliberate move in MLB within the last 15 or so years.

Thanks man will definitely try this in my next practice or game. I see the patience and accuracy behind it. I play men's softball, so would it be same concept on 2 shuffles , probably would have to throw harder or less shuffles ? Tips on that?
@247BaseballOnline7 жыл бұрын
Dude 100%. Because the field is smaller and runners are faster you don't always have time to shuffle shuffle. Especially if the ball isn't hit very hard. If you're coming in on it grab it and get rid of it baby! I gota make some more in fielding video's these are my favorite! Good luck out there!

On the small fields at age 11-12, 3b and SS can only get 1 shuffle usually on 60'-70' bases,
@247BaseballOnline7 жыл бұрын
100% right. Even on a big field if the ball gets to you slow and the runner is fast, no time to shuffle shuffle. This play is probably more for when the ball gets there quick and we have " all the time in the world " and just can't make a bad throw.

Took the words out of my mouth. 11-12 should play on 70' bases its such a better game this way.

Cones are an infield coaches best friend. Buckets, tee's and chairs work well also because they can't just kick them over!

Too many shuffles.. Right foot moves to your left foot left foot moves to the target and throw, then follow the throw
