Do you think one can steam it instead of frying? Or can I fry it in coconut oil? I am thinking of steaming it in banana leaves or in corn husk. I will let you know how it turns out. I am scared of red oil 😂😂😂😂😂

coconut oil is also very good 😀😀

What did you add to your cooking oil to make it red and is it very chili hot
@leahscreen7 ай бұрын
the oil we used was red oil which is made from palm nut that is where the redness is coming from aside this, we also used cayenne pepper but the main reddish colour is coming from the red oil...aside this also we added onions which doesn't add to why it is red😀

Ahh, my akara is usually white inside and round after frying. I guess this is another style of akara. I only use salt and onions for my akara but will try this style. Thanks for sharing.
@leahscreen10 ай бұрын
its because we used red oil to fry the akara, this method is super delicious on one condition if you use a good red oil 😁😁😁 this method is fading away simply because good red oil may not be always available
@rosemondformadi494910 ай бұрын
I pray you make enough money to buy a stronger blender. The shape didn't come out well because the mixture was watery and it got worse when Leah had to add too many in the oil. Better luck next time. You are a good African cook and I wish to visit you soon to enjoy some of your food ❤❤. I hope I'm welcome 😂😂

Another wise way of peeling beans 😂. Leah can you try akara without peeling beans for us? I believe beans is full of protein and roughage that is good for digestion.👍

What kind of oil is good red oil??? This bean pie looks good. How did you peel each bean 🫘??? Please don’t rush into a new kitchen on till the time is right. The Lord will let you know when to make a move. ❤❤Continue cooking your delicious meals.🤗🤗🤗

Why did you add seasoning to the beans you tried but thar was wrong no magi in akara
@leahscreen10 ай бұрын
thank you for asking...the reason is that there are various types of beans and the beans used here is not the sweet one, so there is a need to add seasoning cube which is optional if you wish never to add any👍
