Ingredients:
1 cup (140g) Raw almonds
4 cups (1 liter) Water
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Place raw almonds in a large bowl, cover with cold water and let soak overnight. Drain and rinse the almonds
2. Place the almonds in the blender or food processor, add water and vanilla extract. Blend at the highest speed for 2-3 minutes, until looks smooth and creamy.
3. Strain the almond milk through a nut-milk bag or cheesecloth, squeezing well to extract the extra liquid.
4. Pour the milk into an airtight container. Store in the fridge up to 4 days.
Notes:
• If you want to make a sweet version, you can add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or one pitted madjul date when blending.

making almond milk is the first step when I make a smoothie. I don't soak the almonds. I just throw a handful of almonds into a high speed blender along with about a cup of water and blend on high for about 30-40 seconds. then I go ahead and add the rest of the ingredients and blend. no need to strain the almond milk for a smoothie. I think the pulp adds fibre and you can't notice it in a smoothie.

Thank you for sharing how to make our own organic almond milk. I'll look for a bag of organic almonds, and get a couple glass jars, cheesecloth to drain. I love almond milk it is so popular now and can be found everywhere. I also like rice milk and oat milk. Popular dairy free milks available now are pea milk, peanut milk and flax milk. They all can be used just like regular milk and are more healthy generally. In much of the world milk is plant-based, and only in the west has dairy milk been regularly used.

@@pranavpratheekmalleboyina4483 how is cow's milk more natural for the human body? It is meant for calves, and hence is only natural for them. It helps in their growth and only causes harm to human health. mother's breast milk is natural for the human body. We don't need to consume milk past infancy, it is not required. Better to have other plant based milks, greens, dal and beans as source of calcium. India needs to learn about the cruel dairy practices and how we have been lied to about milk our entire lives.

Don't like the vanilla flavored milk but the video is well done. A milk bag or tea towel works best. Cheese cloth isn't reusable, and it's hard to strain all the tiny particles... Great in a pinch, though. Cute bottle to save it in. Just almonds and filtered or spring water is all that's needed, but you can add whatever you want.

Hello, I am a new subscriber and am severely lactose intolerant. Have you thought about making a playlist of videos that are dairy free? I would love to learn to cook so I can eat with my boyfriends family but I have no idea where to start, and buying lactose free stuff is getting really expensive. I hope my comment does not come off as rude or offensive btw.

You can use it to make cookies, add it to dough, oatmeal. I am indian so we make rotis regularly. I add it to the atta itself to make it even more nutritious.
Only 3 ingredients, you will be surprised with the result!
