I guess that's a feature I need to add to my 3d printer firmware: a method to trigger a shutter release. Thanks for the heads up. M240 will be the remote shutter release command

Ig it would be beter to use the gpio pins available on most modern printers to send a signal, instead of a limit switch which the printer has to hit. This could also be set up via g-code modifications and would be much faster than essentially pausing the print after each layer to hit the limit switch. I haven't looked up the specifics for the Prusa printer, but I'm sure it's possible.

Yeah for sure. I’m waiting to get my hands on the Prusa Hackerboard and then I’ll move over to this kind of setup.
