Thank you for showing us the bottom! So many people don't show how the bottom gets cooked.

What kind of pellets did you used?

Pro tip: put bread crumbs down on the pizza board before putting the flattened dough on it. This will keep the dough from folding when you slide the pizza in the oven. Also helps with preventing burning or sticking to the pan when cooking.

That looked totally awesome. Nice leopard spotting on the crust. Does is have the taste of a wood fired pizza? That's one of the first things that I want to make when my Grilla Grill arrives. I have my baking steel ready!

Did you remove the grease tray and have the pizza iron directly over the fire pot ???
@craigjohnchronicles2504 Жыл бұрын
based on the view inside his grill, yes the grease tray/heat deflector was removed.

Hey man, that looked perfect! I haven't made pizza in a long time but have been wanting to recently. That cheese looked amazing at the end - was it just thick shredded mozzarella?
@motowncooking61254 жыл бұрын
Yes sir just regular whole milk mozzarella from the average grocery store. Thank you for the support and watching please feel free to smash that like button I will have a lot more pizza videos coming out with real pizza ovens and various methods as I do them every week and I will show a dough formula too

Great looking pizza. That is one cook that I have yet to do on my smoker, but I plan to do it before the year is over. Keep that smoke rolling brother!!
@motowncooking61254 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the support and the kind words. I'll keep that smoke rolling always.

A worthy experiment for sure, but I think a stone is better. I feel like your crust needed to come out that moment not to be burned, but your toppings were still too raw. There should be some brown spots on the cheese too. 500 on the stone would have evened that out.

Great looking zza! Just curious if you took everything out of your Chimp and put the baking steel directly over the firepot?

What are we even doing here? Technique looks like you've watched some vids on how to pull this off. I'm guessing you're a pretty accomplished cook. Good work looks like a pie I would eat.

I'm don't get how you managed to have those burnt spots on the crust. I'll need to conduct my own tests on my Traeger Silverton 620 but my pizzas from yesterday's diner weren't even close to look like that. I have a cast iron baking steel I'll need to try. Otherwise, 10/10 on the pizza making.

where do you get that pizza steel?

There are some cheaper options even eBay has them but the most popular would be shop.bakingsteel.com/products/baking-steel
