How to make an Apple and Blackberry Pie

Today I'm going to show you how to make an Apple and Blackberry Pie.

You will need:
For the filling:
350g Apples (peeled and diced)
50g Sugar (either demerara or caster)
200g Blackberries
1tsp Plain Flour
For the Pastry:
200g Plain Flour
1Tbsp Caster sugar
130g Butter
1 Egg
1tbsp Water
Optional:
1Tbsp Milk

Quite an interesting twist on the pastry with the addition of an egg and caster sugar instead of just water. I assume that's how it changes from shortcrust to sweet or rich shortcrust pastry? I'm going to give this a whirl as soon as I get some blackberries. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you 😊 its the why my aunt inlaw taught my to make shortcrust and i always prefered it. Its not the usual way and I'm not sure where she got it from either. Hope you enjoy it 😊
