The dress turned out so pretty and you look very happy swishing around it.

Can I just say, that dress, and all white muslin dresses in my view, really make YOU the star 😍 they're elegant and lovely, but the magic is that they remind us that WE are lovely 🥰❤ Well done!

Oh thank you so much! It is wonderful when a dress adds to a persons beauty and does not overpower or over shine it.😊🩷😊

Lovely dress 😻 Actually, the cloth known as muslin in Regency England was different from modern American muslin. It was a fine, lightweight semi-sheer (or very sheer!) cloth.

Thank you! And indeed, it is difficult to find such fine muslin as they had.

IKEA has some fine white striped and spot opaque cotton curtains which here in the Uk we all use to make Regency dresses from.💕

Yes, that is what I noticed. In the US, cotton calico is often called muslin (in addition, the making of a "muslin", or a mock-up, is what UK and Australia call a toile). A cotton voile is often a good semi-sheer substitute for Regency-style gowns.

@@HistoricalBelle Look at cotton voile as a good alternative. Also, Burnley & Trowbridge usually has a few historical-style cotton muslin's that work if you have the budget.
