The look and fit of the accessories, especially the pelerine, was just perfect! Fast and fabulous for the win 😁

Lovely work. Well done. You know, you could start creating little mini series for each project, like you did with Bowie? I figure, the project is done when you say it is. As for pattern suggestions, my only one is to check your local library (& college/university libraries) to see if they have copies of Patterns of Fashion in the reserve section? - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi

Thanks for the tips! I always forget about the library. Which POF is it that has late Victorian in it? I only have 1 and 5.

@@FantasticalFolliesCostuming I _think_ the late Victorian is in Volume 2. Fingers crossed for the library.

This is so cute. Thank you for taking the time to post your videos. As someone just starting out I think you do a great job of making costuming seem accessible.

Thank you! I'm so glad they're helpful! It's one of my all-around goals to help make "doing the thing" much more feasible for beginners, because that's what kept me from doing it for a very long time. 😌

These turned out wonderfully! I'm always looking for projects to make with low yardarge/scraps, it's nice to see what can be achieved using them!

Thank you so much! I'm the same way...always looking for ways to use up orphan yardages 😊

I've never seen the fleece/ flannel attached after the buckram has been assembled. it makes it quite complicated and fiddly. it all looked really good though.
@FantasticalFolliesCostuming2 жыл бұрын
Hah! Yeah, I bet it is easier to attach it before assembling the buckram, although I can see a benefit from holding off, too, as I was able to hide my assembly issues by adding the felt after the fact. Thank you!

Same as ruffles on a petticoat/sleeve, before sewing up the edge

Better to buy a few things so the project turns out NICE, instead of wasting time and already purchased supplies and having it turn out crappy
@FantasticalFolliesCostuming2 жыл бұрын
Agreed!! Well worth the money I spent. I would have gotten so frustrated trying to sew on all those weird pieces.
@TealCheetah2 жыл бұрын
@@FantasticalFolliesCostuming The places where the weird pieces touched would have shown thru the orange fabric, too, so the yardage was a good purchase
