I was looking for an egg apron and I found you! I love how easy your pattern is. I've watched a dozen videos and they all made fancy this or that... I want it to be functional! I love your name too 😁

@joannaashford7895 I hate being called Joanne! And yes I know our name is in the Bible. My husband read in Luke while he was preaching Sunday. Pretty cool huh.

@@JoannasDIYLife it gets on my nerves! I feel rude sometimes when I correct people sometimes, but I just have to. My son, Thomas, is always quick to correct someone if they call him Tom or Timmy. He isn't named after the disciple, but has proven to have a very similar heart. Always questioning, while remaining faithful.

Joanna, that apron is to cute! I would love fresh eggs, but me and the hubby are allergic to the chickens! So, now you really must show how to sew a garden gathering apron! That would be great! And you really didn't have to do that 🙃😉😍

Any chance you can tell me what you price these at? Guesstimate? I'm in the middle of attaching the pouches and I love your pattern & instructions. Thank you!
@JoannasDIYLife2 жыл бұрын
I don’t sell them but when I had my business it really depends on your area. I live in a rule small community so if I was to sell them it would be $20. It seem like here that my time wasn’t worth anything so that’s why I don’t do that anymore. I hope this helps and I hope you do well!!

If you iron your seam before turning your tube your seam will be easier to lay flat when ironing the right side

I think I will need to add elastic to the top of pouches. I’ve already made one but my bouncy grandchildren will want one like grandmas and they will break eggsbreak all the eggs. I was going. To lengthen pockets and add elastic pocket for the top and pull it tight after I sew bottom on, or to I sew dividers first the tighten? Any ideas.
@JoannasDIYLife Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure which would work best. If I was going to put elastic in the top, I would just make one big pouch. If I put elastic in the top, then I would do individual pockets.
@dianagilbert347 Жыл бұрын
In the measurements you listed you said that you would need 1 piece 42"x9" to make the egg pockets but you have two rows of pockets so do you actually need 2 of these strips instead of one?
@JoannasDIYLife Жыл бұрын
You can make one set if you need to
@candygravitt82553 ай бұрын
Can you s3nd me the measurements for the pouches please
@JoannasDIYLife3 ай бұрын
I did not measure the pouch size itself, but if you wrap fabric around a normal size large or extra large egg, it would have to be 5“ wide x 3“ tall

Looks like the eggs could fall out pretty easily. The pockets need to be deeper.
@JoannasDIYLife4 ай бұрын
I tested it with normal eggs and had no problems. If you think they should be deeper than make them deeper. Simple fix!
