Seeing how they were made and seeing the process and time that someone put into the object that now is not only going to boost my confidence but also better my life was thrilling. I had my teeth extracted 4ish years ago. I went to Aspen. I did not have any issues with Aspen. They made me a temporary denture to ware from day 1 until 6 months when they made my final set. When I received the final set everything fit well and still does. I had a choice between good, better or best. I chose Best. i have never had to have any adjustments etc. half way thru the 6 months and the swelling going down. I had to start using denture cream to help hold the denture in. Today I use nothing. They explained that the lower grade denture may be and feel thicker. They also said if I drop in the sink they may break easy hence my choice of the more expensive denture. They also made a bridge for the lower. All went great and things are still good.This is not a advertisement for Aspen. My Dentist of 45 years retired. After going to many other dentist and not finding anyone that I felt comfortable with I chose Aspen plus it is close to my home. FYI, your teeth and smile look good. Congrats.

Lab tech for 33 years. Managed a full service lab for 17 years, and owned my own full service lab. There's a much easier, better way to do this. If you still have anterior teeth, which is the case here, you would really want to grind off one side (in this case it would be the patients right side, since #9 is in relatively good shape). Then, you set the upper side you just ground on, matching the opposite quadrant as far as whatever is left (i.e. lengths of laterals or cuspids that might still be present). The most important thing, though, is matching the adjacent central. Then, once this quadrant is set, you grind off the adjacent quadrant's teeth, set those in line with what you just setup on the other side, and then use your plane to make sure they are horizontally level. Then, you can grind off ALL the lowers and set to upper. NOTE: this way is ONLY going to work if the patient has a decent #8 or #9 or even laterals and cuspids would work sort of. If they are missing all the front uppers, then you can do it like above with the measuring and whatever, but typically the patient would have had a Flipper(temporary partial) that they are wearing, and the clinician should take an impression of the upper with it in place. Then you can measure the teeth and just pick the corresponding tooth card that matches the L and W. Or, if there are still enough lowers where you can hand-articulate the pre-op to the lower, you can just mark your upper teeth placement on the lower(that's why you grind them off last).If none of that exists, then at that point, you'd just look for tooth pockets or creases in accordance to your landmarks like the incisive papilla and median palatal suture line and begin your setup there. There really is no reason to have to measure, scribe lines, then pick random teeth, hold them up and measure them, then measure then rinse and repeat. ugh. so tedious.

( this was all due to what he call miscommunication. We were told 10,000 dollars for temps and permanents- Now ready for perms we are told it will cost another 10,000 dollars.) The contract was written in such a confusing way that he can get away with it. Though i wouldn’t know what to do or where to begin anyway. I just want to comment on how exquisitely crafted your work is. Actual ART. Thank you for sharing. If you can recommend anyone in NY Westchester county area who creates well constructed Permanents at a sensible price. My temps are so painful. ~ Much Thanks Debra

Do immediate dentures look red or do they look like natural gums
@WAXBAE3 ай бұрын
They’d look more like natural gum. The red you see in this is the wax we use to set the teeth in.

Why did you take out the mandibular teeth right from the beginning? It may give you the correct location of the maxillary teeth. How did you decide the flaring of the anterior teeth without the contoured wax rims?!?? In my opinion, it is hard to figure out the buccal fullness just in the lab without clinical clues. My comment is not a criticism but just a question to learn the objective of your technique.

Thank you for you question.I usually mark everything on the casts and record all the important info plus what we get from clinical consultation with the patient. I encourage you to see my other immedate denture making videos, I have many way of doing them depending on the case and spacing.
