This looks so great for peeps on a really tight budget - like me haha. Would it still work if you just staggered the paracord so that it didn't need cutting thus saving money and time? I imagine I would need to subtract some inches in order to get the desired length whip.

I did it! I made one and it works! Is it perfect? No, but it works. I especially struggled with the first knot in the 14ft cord (your hands were a obstructing the knot a bit when making it), attaching the ballchain (it didnt stick to my tape) and wrapping the tape (tape wasn't colaborating). After trying it a few times I do notice that the tape breaks at certain points but you can just reinforce that with more tape!

Should I wrap it more?? I did two layers. Maybe three. I can’t remember.

Great video, I'm going to give it a go but I have a question first, have you tried this technique with silicone tape? its more flexible than electrical tape and it's got a bit of stretch in it too, and is stronger.. it's a fair bit more expensive of course but I'm wondering if it wouldn't make an even better whip and maybe last longer.

Hootyhoo; how's it goin bud? It's Scott; Glad to see ya & you look like you've been busy / lookin fit; good on you... so I just wanted to comment in reguards to this method of mfg. ; #1; Nick, & Adam along w/ other colleges of yours (I'm sure) arn't gonna like this video! " ITS THE ELECTRICAL TAPE THING AS YOU - WELL KNOW...😂😁😄😅 2ndly; I think its fantastic that you've put this together and out there specifically for those newbies; pretty cool of you; this will get more people into this 'sport' ?? (I guess you'd call it). You've just made it sound better to just get one of these whips made ; quick & easy; some folks may not really get into it once they've thrown one together. I personally don't mind that.... 3rdly; you've just given me an outlet for my frustration in that I have a friend whom keeps buggin me ; he wants me to build a whip for him ; I already know that he won't appreciate it if I were to do so...; and now I can just send him right to this video n introduce him to you & your simplified tech. I will say that I'm better off having learned from you some time ago; as you may recall I built my very first whip watching your paracord whip tutorial a few years ago; you were so against the use of elec.tape in the whip even alittle just using it in the very beginning on the handle and or the turks head knot... not so much it being your rules but more so think along the lines of peir pressure as far as teaching someone else how to... Nice to see you've gotten beyond that "somewhat"; I know that it's still important to you ethically on your own P.C. whips... I'd like to think so anyway. Anyways; COOL, COOL. GOOD job on this video the length and the ease of understandability. Although you did throw me off when you started to go to the floor showing how to set up for the taper & you went right to it ; I was expecting you to set up for plating n the whole 9 yards... " you got me!"😂😀 Anyhow glad your still up to vid. creation . THANKS , VERY ENTERTAINING. Scott Outta Wa. 😎 🙈🙉🙊 P.S.: I ain't sayin shit ( to anyone ) about the tape !!!😆
@caliberwhips95954 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, great to hear from you! I’m happy to hear you find this vid helpful for your friend. As for the tape, I only have an issue when whip makers use it to take shortcuts in order to make quick buck. Otherwise, e-tape is great for a making a crude whip in a pinch, and I don’t care if others have issue. They should know me well enough by now, and that quality is one of my top priorities in whip making.
@scottsykora13484 жыл бұрын
@@caliberwhips9595; YEP, I was chuckling to myself the whole time as I wrote earlier about the E .T . issue ! I recall very clearly that this was a big part of what I took away w/me from your toutorials that's why it was my #1 in my last post. & thank you reaffirming and clarifying your position; you made the whole issue on doing shortcuts in whip building for easy $$$ in your point of view to be unethical . I feel really positive when I can see a person exhibiting good morals in what they're passionate about. I'm pretty sure this is why I made my choice in the first place to go w/ your channel in the begin of my 1st Bull Whip. Oh yeah I'm glad I remembered; I've been wondering your opinion on which do you feel is an easier whip for a beginner; the Bull whip or the Stock whip as I've thought of making a whip for my younger Brother. He's definitely not a kid but I think he feels a little intimidated; (though he would never admit it) to this day he has avoided picking one up (around me). Sad to say thinking about it now; is it's probably his apprehension AROUND ME!?! (BEING HIS OLDER BROTHER)!?! He doesn't want to fall short on his crackability around me (if that's even a term or a statement) (guess so ; I just made it) cause he's pobably concerned I'm gonna flip him shit if he has any difficulty what so ever. That sucks! I just realize something bout myself and my influence on him. Ive been trying make up for this my whole grown part of my life... what a pain in The @$$... Dang sorry bout being so long winded. Anywho; Thx. For the leason; SENSAY. 😉 J.K. Scott Outta Wa.
