Hi Gary...thank you very much....I guess like most woodworkers when I have finished a project I can always see how I could have improved on it .... but that is how we learn....I didn't have much spare time before Ivy and now there seems to be less ...but we love her to bits and we will settle into a routine soon and I will hopefully have more workshop time .... cheers my friend....All the best.....Andy

I get in Andy, we have cats and one of then follows me to the door when I go out to my shop. So there is 5 minutes petting him. We hand a Cocker Spaniel that loved to fetch a tennis ball and would find it in the deepest brush. Now that burned up hours...lol

Lovely job, I like the way you did the spiral on the handle. I will be trying that. I have been using marbles and glass beads to adorn my magic wands. Thank you for letting me into you shop. Go well Larry

Hi Larry... thank you very much for your kind words... marbles and beads are a great idea... I did a similar thing using offcuts from resin blanks... turning and polishing on the end of the handles... I do really enjoy making these wands ... take care...All the best.....Andy

Hi pog... sorry for late reply...missed this one... thank you for your kind words... I do enjoy making the wands... nice easy projects and I usually have wood that is a suitable size ...the spirals are quite easy as long as you have a few different sizes of round files... stay safe...All the best...Andy

nice enough, I do like the flute on the handle. As this is 2020; a bit more resolution then 480p is required for a YT video.

Hi Andy. I thought the wand was the showpiece of this video and then you show Ivy. Sorry mate but she stole the show. She is gorgeous. Sorry back to the wand. You did a great job on it mate. I love the spiral. As for your abrasive paste, I have to honestly say that I prefer yours to "the other one". It seems less oily and is easier to work with and the shine is, as shown in this video, fantastic. I will continue to shamelessly show your paste in my videos when I use it. I'll send you a couple of pictures of a wand I made about 18 months ago. Great work Andy. Cheers, Huw

Hi Huw... ha ha ..the cute puppy will always win hands down in any contest...I do enjoy making the wands and I have sold a few...I would like to see the wands that you made... I'm still having a bit of fun with the paste showcasing and I have seen your shameless marketing strategy... ha ha ... I hope that you have not been affected by the extreme weather conditions too much...the flooding must have been quite close to you....we have strong winds here this morning...3rd storm in about 3 weeks...crazy....have a good day.... cheers...All the best.....Andy

@@AndysCornishCreations Have sent pictures via WhatsApp. The storms were really bad here. We have lived here for nearly 24 years and have never seen flooding like it. Streets not too far away nearly 5' underwater with cars floating down the street and crashing into houses. Luckily we weren't affected as we live on a hill. Huw

Hi Calvin...thank you very much... I love making these wands.. they don't take too long, you can make them all different and they don't use much wood up ... So wonderful Andy🏆 I am so glad you did some of the spiral shaping under power ... I was just then thinking if Sorby had 1-1/2 TPI thread tool and how that might work 😁 And Ivy is such a cutie 💗 -Mike

Hi Mike....thank you very much....I have seen some spiral work done with gigs and special tools but I think that it lacks individuality...a bit like when someone makes something on a cnc machine...it does nothing for me...my efforts have flaws and I quite like that...Ivy is a bit of a handful but we love her to bits....cheers my friend....All the best.....Andy

Alright, Andy, if I take three of these abrasive paste containers, will I get another one on top for free plus an oak wand? And does the paste also work against wrinkles and grey hair, and if you tap yourself on the head with the wand after using it, do you look 20 sandblasted years younger? On a slightly more serious note, I do wonder what such a lovely wand is used for in real life? I mean, of course, Harry Potter must have a whole collection of those in his cupboard, but for us normal grass-chewing sheep, what would such a wand come in handy for? Meditation? Folkloristic dance presentations? Drumming? Hitting your spouse over the head with it when they come home late from the pub? Sorry, silly question! Very nicely turned though, and very interesting technique used for the spiral part which worked really well! And I do like the “wavy” part a lot, again you made it look very easy, which I am sure it is NOT. Thumbs up, Andy 👍🏻 Let me know when it is on order separately 😉 Take care, so long 👋🏻 Jude P.S. Ivy is a funny little dog! These cute little Schnauzer are good family dogs, intelligent, loyal and playful, and they live longer than the big ones (and as my father used to say, they do not eat half a calf per day...). I am sure she is keeping you all rather busy! 😊

Hi Jude... with regards to the paste and the wand... I'm afraid if they were as magical as you described then you would be watching a 20 year old Brad pit look alike on the video instead of a slightly worse for wear 58 year old ... Haha... As for the wands real use... kids do seem to like them and I have sold a few... and yes.. Harry Potter does help... I enjoy making the twist because it has to be done by hand... Ivy is about 18 months old now and is a great little girl...and she eats very little but given the chance she would devour anything... I'm glad that you enjoyed this one and thanks for the thumbs up...take care...All the best.....Andy
