My dad owes money for 2021 and 2020 we clicked on “1040 prior tax return” we where only able to do 2 payments and then it didn’t let us because it said something about calendar year and we don’t have an installment agreement what can we possibly do? His balance due is going up because he can’t pay

Is there a reason that he is not on an Installment Agreement? One can be set up on the IRS website pretty quickly and it will also cut down on some of the interest he is paying.

Have you considered paying with your bank account to avoid the fees? If the return hasn't been filed yet you can pay with the return as well.

I have heard feedback from people who used this site and said the payment was not deposited to the IRS right away. You can pay directly on the IRS website.

Sorry I missed your question. You would want to select the tax year you want it applied to. I would also encourage you to set up an installation agreement or hire someone to set it up. You will pay less in interest that way.

Quick question. I’m trying to pay my estimated taxes for the current year but when I click the option and the next button it says please enter your address exactly as it appears on your tax return. Do they mean the address on my previous years tax return? Because the year I’m paying for (2023) we haven’t filed yet. Please help

I set up a payment plan with federal but the payment amount that I owe doesn’t show any balance on my acct so I just keep making monthly payment until I cover the full amount

tried this right now and got not confirmation at all, hesitant to try again cause they might rebill me twice so maybe ill give them a few days to process an call on monday, i also tried the "payment verification" but it said no matching records

Congratulations on doing well with trading. You can adjust your W-4 to withhold the extra to cover that. If you haven't already taken care of what you owe you may be able to set up a Guaranteed Payment plan.

Very delayed response - did you end up having an issue? I have seen very mixed reviews from people using this site to make their payments. As of right now they are still an IRS approved third party resource.
