How to make an oversized welcome sign with holiday squares using your Cricut

In this tutorial I will be showing you how to make your own oversized Welcome size to accommodate all holiday's from your Cricut! First design your Welcome lettering, accents and wood holiday's in Cricut Design Space. I decreased the letter spacing to my liking and adjusted the size based on my wood. Cut your wood to size if needed and sand edges and surfaces of the wood and squares prior to painting for best results. Next choose your paint or stain color and apply to your wood. I chose to paint the edges for more contrast. Once dry seal your paint or stain with sealer of your choice. I used polycrylic matte finish. It dries quickly. While drying cut your vinyl out. These used a lot of colors so it takes time. Use two mats to make it go faster. While one is cutting prepare the next color on the second mat. I chose to use a 24 inch mat to cut my lettering but it is not necessary. NOTE: If you plan to use your welcome sign outside I would recommend using premium outdoor permanent vinyl or use the vinyl as a stencil and paint the welcome. Weed your decals. Apply vinyl to your wood squares. It is very helpful to use parchment paper to center your vinyl and layer them on the squares. Lastly, stack all the squares together and drill a hole slightly bigger than your hook so that they are all the same. Then, install the hook. Enjoy your oversized amazing custom welcome sign.
