How to Make an R-Rated Scooby Doo Series... That's Actually GOOD

Holy CRAP, this is so effing funny! I agree with the closing sentiment that Scooby-Doo shouldn't be pushed into adult-oriented material for anything more than a one-off stunt, but THIS STUNT would be worth it! Seeing as how you're not a Friday the 13th fan, though, hope you don't mind if I have a different idea for a Crystal Lake episode (as great as including Part 5's villain is). Just do Friday Part 1 and have the air of "Jason's come back to kill all who let him drown" be the mystery going on, only for the unmasking to reveal that the killer is Pamela Voorhees working on the same motivation as the movie...Maybe even screw with the Scooby-Doo formula by having the unmasking happen at the beginning of the last act and Pamela is still free to chase Alice from the movie, only to get decapitated on the beach (...mostly because I don't wanna lose the scene where Pamela "talks with Jason" as she chases Alice). As the Gang wraps things up the following morning and heads out, Alice partakes of an "end of episode laugh," only to get dragged into the lake by the very real Jason, just like the ending of the first movie. For sticking pretty close to the kind of villains Mystery Inc normally faces while still twisting the premise with violence, this could make for a fun first episode (especially with a popular franchise leading the charge). Scream also seems like it has potential for a first episode, since it's the closest to the kind of criminals Mystery Inc normally faces, but Scream has a LOT of characters and the Gang is already kinda big itself, so it might be tricky to fit into an episode unless they go with an episode-long "Let's Split Up" and each pair/character hangs out with a small chunk of Scream's cast...And then maybe the party at the end of the movie turns into a huge Trap-Palooza that completely circumvents the Ghost Faces' speech about revenge and fame-seeking. I know the tone of the show isn't supposed to water down the villains, but the Ghost Faces are the most mortal and vulnerable of all movie killers outside of the guy from Deathproof, so I don't think it'd be too out of character for them...Then again, the Scream movies are intentionally meta and there's already enough humor by having Mystery Inc face killers, so this episode might be more annoying than fun.

Plus by the time they are fighting for the necronomicon, Shaggy is also very pain resistant because he was a cenobite for a while and is numb to it. He is still a big wimp though
