Great vid! Do most commercial breweries make their ginger beer with commercial extract unfermented? Not something I had previously considered

Keen for the answer here too, I'd not thought about it before but expected a ton of ginger getting pushed through a wood chipper in this video

Can I do this on a home brew level. I distill also so could use the neutral spirit the same way???

We imagine most commercial breweries use extract for their ginger additions. The time and cost involved with preparing fresh ginger wouldn't be viable from a business stand point. Home brew scale is fine though.

Why use isopropyl instead of ethanol? Don’t they both work by dehydrating any type ofcontaminant?

May I ask where you sourced your ethanol and ginger extract from? Thanks

Bintani for the ginger and Manildra for the ethanol.

Can you show us how to open the bag again?

... so confused. Here I am making ginger beer by grating 10kg of root ginger, mashing malted grains and fermenting with yeast. I feel so stupid now :)

Still a great way to make a ginger beer and way better taxes. RTD taxes are super high in Aus.
