Dude! I've got to say that this proves exactly why I'm a subscriber and have been for a long time and will continue to be. You have to be the most down to earth woodworkers that I follow on YT. Great video brutha. Great info. Great outside the box type of video. Super great that you incorporated your daily life and kids into this video. You're right on when you say it was a DIY project.....thanks!

I usually put peanut butter on both sides and a bit of extra jelly so it balances it out. That way the jelly doesn’t make one side of the bread soggy. It’s more filling that way for me as well

Love this technique but as a 59 year old that has had my fair share of PB&J's I say you should put peanut butter on both pieces of bread, then jelly in between (BTW that is how the real Uncrustables come). This prevents jelly absorbing into bread and prevents jelly leaks if there are any large air pockets. Cut an Uncrustables in half and you will see what I mean (I was doing this 40 years ago before Uncrustables).

I love both of these ideas and I’m not even a mom I’m just a 20 year old with a bottomless stomach and I was looking up toasted pb&j and found this instead. If you haven’t toasted your pb&j before your missing out, love the melty hot pb, just ate one. I never grew out of like boxed lunches it’s crazy because most of the time people don’t think it’s as good but sometimes a simple sandwich really just smacks.
