How to make and upload a VRChat Avatar QUICK & EASY!!!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: VRChat now uses 2019.4.29f instead of Unity 2018! Please make sure you are using the correct version before uploading to VRChat!
This tutorial is a video that combines some of my previous videos and updates them! The quickest and easiest way to make your own VRChat avatar and then get it uploaded. VRoid is an amazing program and is what I used to create my avatar. If I can use it, so can you! You also can always commission someone, like me, to create you a model as well. Yeah, if you don't use a vrc account you won't ever rank up

You can convert a Steam account to VRChat account very easily and even merge them so you keep any friends you have made too. This should bring in your time played as well.

This is a much more straight forward method then others I have seen. Most methods I have seen require using Blender and optimizing the avatar using CATZ plugin, then importing into Unity for VRChat differently. I wish importing into Unity was THIS simple after exporting with CATZ. I still want to use the CATZ method because you can do easy optimizations, like building a texture atlas very easily. I just wish mapping Blender output from CATZ optimized models was THIS easy.

Thanks, Phia! Super simple and easy tutorial helped out a bunch! For anyone that wants to know why you might not be able to import the avatar that's probably because you have less than 10 hours in VR chat. You have to be at least New User trusted level which is at 10 hours +.

Worst experience i had was when someone dropped a portal in a way i couldn't avoid it and sent me to a world full of DeviantArt inflations. I was mad at first but when i got out and mentally recovered, i was impressed by the timing the guy had to do.

@@thepillowmancer To add onto this, VR works well on Index (some trouble with stuff like base stations not turning off when exiting vr, dont know if they fixed that yet) and Vive headset. Half Life Alyx and Neos VR are native, so they run fine. VRChat runs fine as well but is run through Proton, works fine though - KZbinDL didn't work last I checked (used for playing videos). Beat Saber works but getting mod manager working was a pain in the ass (heard this changed). Haven't tried it in a while since I use Wayland and there is no wayland support, but it was a DOABLE experience, but definitely a pain in the ass. Gaming on Linux however has come a LONG way and everything pretty much works except heavy anti-cheat games and games with DRM (DRM games I just torrent to get rid of DRM and they work after lol).

Yo! Been around since the first tutorial for this and am so grateful! Just curious if there is a fix for male avatars legs crossing? My avatar is always on their tippy toes and sometimes my legs get all twisted up, especially when crouching. any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again for the tutorials!

It needs to be under 7,500 or else people will need to enable your outfit and if its very poor then it will not be uploadable on quest (quest being you switch the version to android build from what I know.)

I feel its important to add, that you do not have to select a version of unity after the start up If you only have 2018.4.20 downloaded, that should be what opens at start up of unity

When I import my avatar into unity, it changes to a .prefab file and doesn't let me import. Also, instead of only adding a VRM tab at the top, it adds "UniGLTF" and "VRM0". Please Help.

Well you just need to make a vr chat account and link it to either your steam or oculus account and then you’re ready to go, it’s a really simple process took me about 5 minutes to do
