Your channel and others has inspired me to take drafting and design classes at school,(9th grade), and because of how much I already knew from your channel, I had a head start and I am excelling in class. Thank you for showing me how to get fusion 360 for free, I have been looking for a quality CAD program to use at home. I really hope this series continues.

This idea can be expanded on and you could practically make any board games magnetic. An idea I had many years ago that I made in my d&t class was a portable board game of chess /checkers where the pieces were round discs with the chess symbols lasered on to them. The idea is that if you want to play checkers just flip the pieces over. When I get a 3d printer I might make that as my first project.

This was perfect timing for me, just picked up F360 and have just started to learn how to use it. As a complete beginner to 3D modeling I found this video really easy to follow (although I did feel you were rushing a little towards the end and glossing over a few steps) Looking forward to the next videos in the series, keep up the great work.

I was thinking about getting this machine but I was worried about some of the reviews from Gearbest (the website I was planning on purchasing it from). Did you purchase it from here and, if so, how was your experience?
@ryankowtecky96807 жыл бұрын
Geordie Toon I purchased mine through Gearbest and had no issues. It took about two weeks to arrive (I live in Northern Canada), and was a blast to assemble. As long as you're willing to tinker with it, it's totally worth it. Be sure to join the Anycubic Kossel group on Thingiverse, they're a great resource! Best of luck.

I am apparently getting that printer as a Christmas gift from my family. I'm excited as this is the first 3D printer that has been affordable enough to even dream of getting for me.
@No-pm4ss6 жыл бұрын
Mine should arrive any time now :D Any good tips I should know before I start assembling?
@Cryostatic6 жыл бұрын
Anki Building was actually fairly straight forward. The instructions were pretty good. Just make sure you set aside a lot of time for assembly. I think it took me around 9 hours to assemble. This was my first 3D printer build but I also normally work with electronics. I highly recommend looking into an auto Leveling system. I still need to purchase a switch to do mine but leveling is the most time consuming. Also I gave up on the demonic surface they give you to build on. I use thick painters tape since I had parts get stuck to the build plate and could not free them. Hope that helps some. ^_^

I’m glad you are making these videos. Watching you use solid works was the reason I initially subscribed to your channel. Seeing you do the same thing in fusion 360 has inspired me to start fiddling around with my 3D printer again. Here is a question I would love to see you to address - making reusable parts that you import into other designs. I have been working on some space ship designs that all use the same engine but I run into lots of issues when i import multiple copies of the engine into a design or edit the original engine design. The results never turn out quite as expected. Looking forward to the next installment. Thanks. :-)

You're amazing. I don't have a 3D printer, but I am having fun modeling with Fusion 360 anyways! Plus, the Windows 10 3D Builder app lets you ship your creations to the door, so simply transferring it to there and ordering it would probably work if I ever wanted to.

Thanks for sharing all your inspiring videos! I have used the file you shared this time, and with some other stuff I have printed, but will definitely have a go at Fusion360 as well! Made this game for my son, and he is happy with it. My only issue when making it, is that some of the magnets did end up upside-down while I glued them down, so I had to get them out (after they were super-glued...), and place them once more. When I make another, I will keep a magnetic sheet under the board, so all magnets will turn the same way. (Btw, as mentioned at MyMiniFactory as well, the description says 16 magnets, but 15 is enough. I know you changed it on MMF, but I just wanted to mention it here as well, in case someone will make their own, and go out to buy the right amount of magnets.)

For your next instalment could you do a tapered thread flange with nut for a custom shelf system that uses pipes to separate the shelves? One thing I've wondered for a while, how come there's always a little "outline" on the build plate when you print stuff? Is that something the printer does automatically? Or...if so, then what's the purpose behind it?

I have been watching this channel for a while now and want to start 3d printing, I was wondering if there is a good 3d printer that i can get for reasonably cheap, and how exactly do you switch philaments part way through a print, is it actually quite simple or is there some trick to doing it? Could someone answer or could it be in the next video please?
@make.anything7 жыл бұрын
+Lcrispy YT it depends on the printer.. Many have a built in option to change filaments, or you can simply pause the print and do it manually

In my case, i have a printer with Marlin firmware. It have a command you can put in the gcode to pause de print, and change the filament (M600). I think another firmwares has similar commands too.
@ProGaming-bd3nz7 жыл бұрын
Lcrispy YT anything with custom g-code would be good. I have a Robo R1+, and it’s a good printer to start out with and swap out nozzles and such. It isn’t that great for switching filament though. You can’t see where you are at in the print.
