Other than being able to edit the shape of the letters, what is the difference between using the Word Art dialog box to get the fill to be a picture and the method that you are using? Since 2010 doesn't allow shapes with words to be merged.

I don´t know if my question will reach you, since this is an old post 😬, but... I would like to create my own grunge photoframe from scratch that I can use in Powerpoint, if possible, using Affinity designer. So far I haven´t found a way, other than using fonts to create the grunge photoframes. Is there a workaround or other way that you know of? Would be reeeeally great to learn! Love your video's by the way... always looking forward to your great tutorials 🤗

Hi Sandra van Ophemert 😁✨ that's possible, just export your grunge shape as .svg from Affinity designer, import it into PowerPoint, convert it to shape and then you can intersect any photo with that grunge shape

@@oneskill_ppt Tried that (I made a drawing with the brushes and saved as an SVG), but that wouldn't work... however: Just discovered that, with a little help from Inkscape (saved my affinity drawing as a png and converted it to SVG in Inkscape), the trick is succesfully done! I guess saving a png to SVG directly from Affinity just won't work. But am happy with the other route. But, big tnx for replying my question anyway, and wishing you a great day!

Viewers should be aware that you must select the text box first before applying the intersect tool. Otherwise, the conversion to editable text will not work.

I purchased the Boston font, it has Boston, Boston Extrude one, Boston Extrude two, and Boston Extrude three. I've tried installing the fonts to use in PowerPoint, but only the basic Boston font shows up in the font dropdown.
