In this video I share with you how to make birch syrup! This is truly a treat of the Nordic wilderness. And from the birches we have in Norway it takes about 10 litres of birch sap to make 100ml of syrup... So these are dearly made drops of tree gold!
The only ingredient for Birch Syrup is Birch sap! And you need to tap it now, in early spring if you are going to get any. Tapping trees takes a toll on them, and its very important to do it in the nicest way possible. Also you always need to ask the land owner for permission, at least here in Norway.
