I have got to try that but it is so hot in Louisiana. It would have to be in the sun to work so I don't know if they would want to be in that heated water. When they get on the feeders lately they hold their wings out a little just to cool down.
@aussiegirl654 Жыл бұрын
@rebaramsey7585 Just use a different style solar fountain,where you can put the panel in the sun metres away from the fountain. So the birds can be in the shade. Look at her previous videos for ideas.

Honestly Robbie, you bring me so much joy! I'm forever amazed at your ingenuity; creativity; deep understanding as to the simplicity of how nature works; the easy, natural composting; the containers and layering; the trellises; the birds and baths.... I'm missing some things but I want you to know I have regained a sense of life balance because of you. I'm the 60+ y.o. flight attendant who had the severe brain injury and I'm still off work these past 4 years wondering if I'm able to return to work because I'm still in different therapies to get better. Honestly, the more I learn to garden, and find new fun ways to take care of my beloved birds, squirrels, crows, etc, the more I'm thinking I just want to retire (67 now!) and keep practicing my gardening skills, use my latent creativity that always has a bent for using nature to invent and create things, and go on some occasional trips to enjoy life and appreciate what I have. You've kept my flame going. Life is short and I've had adventures and relationships I'll always cherish. I'm very social yet as I'm older I love my privacy and alone time to be with nature. You inspire me to really look at the simplicity of life, how it works, and enjoy these little moments to just be in it. This coming from a So. CAL city girl who didn't know, back in the day, what I would do with myself being in nature and not around anyone or the city life! Ha ha. For the past 40 years I've lived on 5 acres on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State and after a while I couldn't imagine living the city lifestyle again. Anyway, you'll never have enough thank yous from me for sharing a big part of your life to the rest of us. Gary too. My best, Tia.

@synergy2222 Just wanted to encourage you to check into retirement, it can't hurt. I did that a year in a half ago, things at work weren't going well in a new department. Turned out that was the best thing to do. I'm happier than I've ever been. Prayers for you! Robbie hope you don't mind me speaking to subscriber. Love your willingness to share how to's on you channel! Appreciate you and Gary!

You’d definitely qualify for retirement, and when you’re ready you can always get a part-time job if you still want to work in the future. Gardening is therapeutic and good for physical activity - it’s really restored me since I retired at 67. This is a great channel for tips on gardening (and bird info), and you can do a lot of projects without having to mortgage your house to pay for it! 😂 All the best!

This was so easy to make, portable, and easy to clean. I used the bubbler. First morning out and I saw a dove perched on edge of shoebox, dipping in to drink. I still work from home so can't sit to watch for hummingbirds yet but at least I saw it is attracting birds. I put it next to 2 of my hummingbird feeders. I'm making another and will use the sprayer with a perch. This is so great. I found a 2 gallon beach toy bucket at Wallmart for $2 so will use my other floating solar panel, so great, no wire. Love this idea!

I just decided make something like this the other day and ordered a solar fountain and sawed a blue rain barrel to hold the water. I want to water stray cats and possums as well. NOW I can make a lily-pad style landing for the birds while it floats around barrel! I was WONDERING how I was gonna give the birdies a landing pad while keeping the fountain away from the sides. I love the tiny perch idea! Thank you so much! I can't wait for my fountain to come in!

I love the shoebox fountain! I need some ideas for elevated fountains. I have outdoor cats. My hummingbird feeders are on metal shepherd hooks about 5 ft long. There is no access for the cats to feeders. But for fountains, I know I need to use the metal shepherd hooks. Maybe I could use 2 of them and suspend a shoebox between them like a hammock.
