If you use the Yasutomo Sketch Paper for the backing, does it matter whether you place the rough side or smooth side down on the the adhesive?

Is any kind of "surface finish", such as beeswax, applied to the outside of the cloth after the book is bound? It seems the cloth would get pretty grimy without some kind of protection.

What’s the difference between this one and the one you did with wheat paste?

Great question. This is quicker but more expensive. I use this method when I only want to make one or two pieces.
