So excessive heat actually destroys the nutrients in the carrot, so the best thing to do is to immerse the oil&carrot mixture in moderately hot water and leave it until the water cools... This will help to facilitate the movement of nutrients from the carrot into the oil and also evaporate the water from the carrot without denaturing the nutrients.

Not only does the heat destroy many of the nutrients the fact that they're using fresh carrots which are loaded with water will stimulate bacteria and mold growth in the oil and speed oxidation so this oil will go rancid very quickly and who knows what type of bacteria and mold that you won't even be able to see until it's badly infected will spawn in this mix. This is not a safe way to make carrot-infused oil!

I use organic alvacado oil i got at walmart. I use double boiler and simmer it. I dont boil it. I love shredded carrots on salad. So good yum. It has helped my dry hair. No more breakage. Has no smell.

I use cocnut oil. I've learned from cooking Olive oil can be toxic if heated over a certain temperature. Don't know how true that is but I just use coconut oil to keep on the safe side. Awesome video by the way. I use for me and my daughters hair. Thank you 😊

Yes... it's right... olive oil has low smoke point... hence shouldnt be heated...

Good video. But i just want to share something with you. Carot contein vitamin A, which is destroy by heat. So if you put it on fire you 'll not have an oil with all the benefice. So carrot oil must be press cold and must not go on fire or an high temperature. I'm from a french country so sorry for my bad english. Thanks

I use the first method every time I want to make some carrot oil and it comes out just fine... u can cover the jar completely to prevent moisture from getting into it which makes the oil go bad... Thanks so much for sharing
