Follow along with Anne-Marie from Bramble Berry as she shows you how to create these simple and effective facial bars. Watch now and start making your charcoal soap at home!
This soap is easy to make and great for beginners. First, the activated charcoal is mixed with the tamanu oil and tea tree essential oil. This breaks up any clumps and makes the activated charcoal easier to incorporate into the aloe vera Melt-and-Pour Soap Base.
Because this soap is meant for use on the face, we used a very small amount of tea tree essential oil. If you prefer a stronger scent, you can add more. Our tests found the amount of activated charcoal to be effective while not leaving a large amount of gray residue on washcloths and sinks.

So with melt and pour you don’t have the 4-6 week cure time? Is that because they were cured before being sold? Super new here so I thought the cure time had to do with the scent melding with the soap itself.

no, you can put in whatever you want and take out(only w mp because all you need is the base then your additives) but be careful if you add too much of anything to mp it will not have suds. CP is different, it will affect the finish product and you have to make sure you do the right calculations if you add or subtract oils :)
@jennlynn212

Patti Vill You can replace it with any EO that’s recommended for the face, or you could leave it out completely. You won’t get the added benefits that the EO gives the bar if you decide to not use any, so I’d recommend replacing it with your choice of EO that has good properties for facial use! (Or you can choose only based on scent, however be careful because some EO’s are known to be irritating on the face/shouldn’t be used for facial products)
