I have a question. I do not know the CORRECT way to say/ask this question to any of my various devices (PDAs). Will someone PLEASE explain, in detail, what the CACCIATORE word is based on? What is the difference between roasted or baked chicken, in the oven, verses this WONDERFUL & YUMMY (THANK YOU, you sweet, sweet woman!😘) recipe?
@AnitaCooks9 ай бұрын
Hi Michel, Cacciatore is Italian meaning "hunter". This dish is "hunter style" and can be made with rabbit or chicken and onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, herbs and wine. This dish is "braised" - pan seared first and then cooked in liquid. Roasted is at high heat (400 F or more) in the oven/grill for solid foods like chicken, vegetables etc. Baked is at lower heat - 375 Fahrenheit or less. Baking is for batters, doughs etc. that are not solid to begin with. Hope that helps :)
