I love it that you cook with your daughter. Not only she will learn how to cook from you, also she will always remember these memories of cooking with her dad. Nice job on the chicken fried rice. I am gonna try adding cabbage to mine next time.

Brother: another winner. I live with my stunning wife and two savage little girls and ALL of them are the pickiest eaters ever. I’ve made chicken fried rice in the skillet dozens of times, with frozen peas and carrots and double chicken and they’ve all eaten it like it’s their favorite meal. I wanted to try CFR on my new Blackstone and obviously I searched your channel to see if you had a recipe. Dude I was so nervous about the red and yellow peppers and the onions being in there mostly because of the kids and it’s windy as hell out here today and good god I can’t believe how much that affected the cook time so I wasn’t thrilled after plating it that it would be a hit. The kids SMOKED it, wife has had a bite or two and she’s got that twinkle in her eye, I haven’t even tasted it yet but I like where this is going. Thanks again, my friend. Love your channel, keep it coming.

OMG….. I love this video with your daughter, I’ve done many grilling/cooking sessions with my girls and it is so special! Enjoy this time! My girls are married and on their own, and I truly loved this special cooking bonding time! I love chicken fried rice on the Blackstone! I’m dog sitting next month at my daughters house while they are on a trip… this is my meal prep for 3 days… they have a Blackstone too… what a coincidence…… Thank you for this video…. Brings back special memories!

Just got my new Blackstone! Seasoning it tonight, and have the first cook planned for this weekend with the guy who helped me haul it home from Walmart. Would not be here without ya’, Hussey. My bride saw one of your videos on CFR (chicken fried rice) and said “You need one of these!”. She got me gift certificates for Christmas and I’m like “Let me check this out before I make the commitment “. I’m a bit of an ass and need to make sure stuff meets my lifestyle and needs... watched your vids and others, and said “I’m all in!”. Looking forward to lots of good cooks with my family and friends. Thank you, my friend - big props to you.

If you want to have your chicken go to another level of tender.....velvet it. For every 8oz chicken breast strips or pieces, toss with 3/4 tsp baking soda (bi-carb) Marinate for 20 minutes Rinse well under running water, pat with paper towel to remove excess water..... the extra step is SO worth it....

You all did a great job cooking the fried rice and the family will love it too. I love fried rice and first learned about it when first sent to Thailand in 1969. After being talked into trying it I was hooked and have been eating it regularly and upon returning home I purchased my own wok years later from the military exchange and began cooking my own. Your kids will love it too and be eating it constantly and enjoying this great dish.

When you get that day-old rice, mix you up some eggs and soak that day-old rice in them eggs. Not long, just enough to get all that rice coated. Then hit them on the griddle with some oil. It separates it and makes it fluffy fluffy. Me and the Asian wife Love your content.

Another way you can get the rice nice and fluffy is to saute the dry rice in a bit of oil for 3-5 minutes on medium to medium-high heat before boiling it. I prefer this to the refrigerator method (which was my previous method).
