they are saying it because you are meant to use ribeye for the meat not mince/chuck and it most certainly does not taste the same the ribeye is a far better quality cut done correctly it melts in your mouth the down side is it costs more so to save money some use mince/chuck both versions are nice so you cant go wrong with a good cheezer

I'm going to incorporate onions, mushrooms, and peppers, so hopefully that extends the number of sandwhiches per lb of beef a little. for now, I'm planning on about 1/3 lb of raw beef / person?

Being from Philly, I give you an official pass on using ground beef for cheat steaks! I do it myself for my daughter (who is vegetarian) and I make them with beyond meat for her. If you have access to a Kroger owned market, they have a product called "shaved steak" that works awesome for cheesesteaks. Great job!

Walmart also has at least two products that are shaved steak or similar that do the job while looking more traditional. One is the great value brand and one is called steak ums or something similar. The steak ums being the most cost effective one. Publix sells a brand called ‘philly gormet’... of sliced steak that they occasionally put on sale b1g1, which is my preference.

I’m looking forward to cooking up some traditional cheesesteaks, and your video gave me great ideas on how to approach it, but I will definitely do your burger version from time to time. LOL, I'm still looking for the philly cheesesteak. This is more of what NY'ers call a "chop cheese".

Hi Walter-The tour was cancelled in March when just about everything on planet earth was cancelled. I had no control over that. Hopefully you caught me in Georgia last year as I was in 4 or 5 Georgia cities. God bless!

Love the totally disinterested employee staring at her phone in the background. Great looking sandwich though.

Once I was doing a demo at a Walmart in Springdale, Arkansas. A huge rain/lightning storm hit. Long story short...when it cleared up, I had 1 hour left. The parking lot was completely empty. A lady walked by and I said, "Excuse me, Maam, if you come on over, I'll cook you a NY Strip Steak." Without skipping a beat, she said, "We don't eat steak, we eat hot dog." She kept on walking. LOL.

I totally AGREE! I'm from Chi. Been to Philly five times for the iconic cheese steak. I've even had Geno's shipped via Fed ex. It's an expensive shipment but it's worth it.

Well, being raised in philly... this isn't a cheesesteak but hey, nice job. If it sells then you're doing a lot right.

Hi there. Yes, I know, I know...in New York they call it a chopped cheese. Here we are making it, and calling it a Chopped Cheese in Vegas a few years ago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH_UYpx4rt5mhNE Here I am making an actual cheesesteak with the staff from Jim's in Philly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJy2h4h5qtR7p9k Thanks for watching. God bless!

He's even very careful to articulate the 'cheat' part of the word when he's speaking in the video!

Yeah, I had to block about 20 rude people for cursing me out over it being an incorrect cheesesteak. I appreciate you guys for waching. God bless!

@@praisehisawesomename so word "steak" isn't there? ok it says cheat and not cheese, but where is the steak? let's be 100% objectives. LOL Xd haha

@@salchichondeleon I know I shouldn't even waste my time with this but it's called a cheat steak. You know like cheating because it doesn't have ribeye. Has nothing to do with the cheese. By the way great video. I'm going to make this ASAP

don’t you think more seasoning should have been needed?
