I've been making earrings/pins since quarantine, but only for myself, and maybe to gift a friend. But now, that I finished high school, I decided to start making them for sale, since it's something I really like doing (and I'm now a broke unemployed person, so if gives me joy and money, great!). Good morning! I am super late to the party LOL I just found your video and it's very informational and was very interesting to watch. Your jewelry is so cute and I love it! A couple of things... have you ever tried Triple Thick as a clear coat? It's water-based, non-toxic and brushes on with a brush.. it's incredibly thick and beautiful. One coat looks like resin! It's what I use for painting rocks and it has worked beautifully for me. It comes either in a little tub or in a tall bottle, and I found that weirdly the tall bottle works considerably better for no reason that I can ascertain LOL. My second suggestion was regarding the jewelry glue that globs all over... The Eileen's jewelry glue...could you take a syringe (without a needle obs) and cut the tip of the glue bottle to fit the syringe into it...insert the syringe into the glue bottle draw and out like half a syringe full of glue and then use the glue from the syringe to apply it to your jewelry? Does that make sense? I do this with a lot of supplies that have ridiculous applicators...

Yay!! So fun to catch this video just as it comes out! I always wondered how people have such clean looking charms while mine always get these weird random fibres in them T_T! Usually applying 2 layers of a base coat helps but still.. Maybe my working space could be even cleaner? hmm

Hmm that happens to me sometimes too! But I cover everything in layers of paint so it just gets all covered :(

i think most of the fibers come from your hands, so you might want to clean your hands with rubbing alcohol or something similar before starting. idk, i had the same problem and it made a huge difference for me. hope this helps :)

I use triple thick right now because I'm poor and it's all I got, but man THE PET HAIR... the pet hair u_u I will try this glaze when I'm able to get it next. Very interested in processes.

@@MeganWangart It might be good I think for flat pieces? But I make little figures and it can be kind of a hassle. It can get kind of lumpy or sticky if you're not careful in how you apply it. Yea, three cats & two dogs, so hair is everywhere! I usually use an air can to clean the space first but alas... (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖

Thank you for the video, it was super informative! I'm not sure if you wanted this, but I have a couple recommendations for inspo for new types of earrings: @naivete.craft on insta makes these really cool (bunny-themed) earrings that I'm pretty sure are printed plastic(?) with beads and pompoms Maybe you could try your hand at hoops? @et_toi_paris on insta makes these baby hoops with metal and acrylic(?) charms, but I think clay charms could work too. Lately I've been seeing mobile earrings - earrings that look kind of like baby mobiles. As in, the earrings will have two (or maybe branch and have three or more) parts that are attached at the top and with beads or charms dangling at the bottom. This isn't a great explanation and I don't have any specific examples of shops, but if you search up 'mobile earrings' on google images they show up. Anyway, sorry for the long comment (I think this may be my longest youtube comment?), but I hope this is a little helpful!
