You can also do a coil pot which is great if you want a circular pot which is much more “precise” or perfect, I can’t think of the right word haha

These are cute, thanks! Do you use the waterproofing agent on the outside of the pot too, like if I didn't want to paint it or just wanted extra waterproofing, can I do that?

I found this particular clay I used didn’t shrink at all (or if it did it really wasn’t noticeable) but I’ve heard other air dry clays shrink quite a bit. I guess it depends on the brand! ☺️

does the gloss type of glue bottle thing that u applied first work too? so that it is more shiny?

It’s a type of glue that’s also used as finish and a sealer. So you can use it for a lot of different purposes! It’s similar to PVA except thinner, higher quality and you can get it in different finishes like matte or gloss etc ☺️

this is great! i learned a lot from this video 😊 ty! im just very curious though, does it dry out like dry enough that when you drop it, it breaks like glasswares? (sorry if i didnt explain it well, english is not my first language)

That’s great I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I know what you mean and yes when you drop it it does break like that, but because of the type of clay it is (terracotta reinforced with nylon fibres) it doesn’t completely smash. Your English seems pretty good to me! 💕

Hi! I’ve never tried making one of those before but this clay is quite porous when dry so I think it would absorb oils well! Good luck let me know if it works out ☺️

Are there any other waterproofing agents that work good for clay mugs that you recommend?

Hi! I'm not sure about that to be honest because if you want to make mugs (specifically to use for drinks and not just as a decorative pen holder) the waterproofing agent would have to be food safe. If you find any food safe waterproofing agents let me know because I don't think the one I used is food safe!
