Monica, I am a full-on "Beginner", and you have got me sooooo very excited for sewing. I will be making these to put in my gift baskets, and for future gifts for friends. Thank you so much for sharing to the "less than perfect" beginner. :)

Hi Monica...Just loved your quick and simple video making these adorable little coasters. The bonus is being able to plug a stem glass inside them and have your guest move around without worry of table top furniture. I was able to whip 4 of these cuties out last night and what took the longest amount of time was the coordination of my charm packs :) Thanks so much for sharing. Directions and visuals were great!

You dont know how much this video has helped me. I haven't touched a sewing machine since middle school (I'm 22). I thought I was doing the coasters wrong I thought the batting had to be smaller than the fabric ! You have truly saved me ! Now I'm going to go back and sew hahah

Hi Monica. I was very excited about the coasters and cut out 6 to make as a hostess gift. I used left over Pellon All Natural Cotton 1/16" loft batting. I clipped the corners and even trimmed the seam allowances and still they are so thick I can't get a nice corner to pop out. What type of batting do you use? I used yardage and I have enough to cut more squares and I think I will use flannel instead of batting.

To identify one's glass by the coaster, you'd have to make sure to use only one coaster from each charm set, so they'd be markedly different. Or maybe you could make smaller, hexagonal coasters all unique, just for wine glasses. Thanks for sharing! I like the diagonal fold.

I learned this technic from Sew Very Easy. Thank you for showing this on your channel too! I have made a few of the Hot Pads for friends and the Cubs World Series meals. I love the coaster idea. Thanks.

Where can I purchase the 5 x 5” squares that are pre-cut with coordinating fabrics???
@elisabethclancy39494 жыл бұрын
Where can I buy the charm packs is there a 5 x 5 batting pack that matches the charm pack? I’m disabled and home bond so I don’t get to go out to the stores shopping . I have to do most of my shopping online . I find that the fabric selections are not great plus the cost for shipping is high . Then I can afford it . I like to make little things to keep myself busy plus make stuff to high price to buy . Thank you for your video I want to try it .

Unfortunately, I didn't create that quilt pattern. It comes from the Twister Tool and you can google it to order online. It's easy and adorable. I know you'll love it!

I watched your video and made some coasters following your advise. They turned out well. Thank you. Now, I have a question. Can you make a rectangle coaster, rather than a square, in the same manner? How? REPLY

Did I miss the instructions for the hot pad, or is it just a bigger coaster?
@brendajanssen43363 жыл бұрын
I have the same question and see this was asked two years ago. Where are the joypad instructions or is it just same instructions with the 10x10. And heat layer put in them such as insulbright?
