Composting beginner this side anna.. Have a query. It has been about 28 days. My bin is now dark brown and all items are unrecognizable. There is also no liquid coming out of the bin now. Material seems slightly moist. It has not changed to the consistency of the usual compost crumbly texture. Will it happen after few more days ? Should I add more water or just let it be

Just sprinkle some water(don't pour it)...and turn the pile once for every three to four days...it will take nearly 2 months to decompose completely...

Anna u told not to put milk products but Tea-we put in milk And buttermilk is milk product PLS CLEAR MY DOUBT

It is because..if you pour the milk then the compost will smell really bad...you know how the milk smells... and sometimes it might cause the compost watery and it can become anaerobic...which is quite bad for the bacterias to breathe... But buttermilk won't smell bad...and we won't pour the buttermilk,we just sprinkle it..and it has more bacterias than other milk products...same for the tea grounds-it won't smell bad and it is not watery

Yes you can add..but just stop adding after a month... Then prepare a new bin to add the waste.. So have 2 to 3 bins to get the compost regularly

The final product is good....but during anaerobic or non aerobic process there will be bad smell, water leakages, and most of the microbes might die because of the water.... that's why the AEROBIC composting is preferred

@@amirthalingamthangavel3554 1.i have added soil at first as I had shown it in the video....soil contains the beneficiary bacterias which can act upon the waste that we add... 2.whatever waste we have added are eaten up by the bacterias and other microbes and they excrete their waste..that is what looks black in color... 3.Final product is compost and the soil that I had added..
